Buy Local Bash
In an effort to bring the greater Syracuse community together with its locally-owned businesses, SyracuseFirst created the Buy Local Bash – an evening sampling and shopping event, hosting over 100 local business vendors, and more than 800 happy customers. Supporters of the Bash are offered samples of local food, brews and spirits while they shop and engage with businesses of all types and sizes. The event is also a principal fundraising event for SyracuseFirst, a non-profit that serves our community by promoting a local-first attitude, by supporting locally-owned businesses, and stimulating the local economy.
The Buy Local Bash has never had its own consistent visual identity. Each year, contributing artists have put their unique spin on the Bash’s gig posters and signage. Moving forward, the team at SyracuseFirst wanted the Buy Local Bash to have its own branding, apart from SyracuseFirst’s. We worked with the marketing committee of SyracuseFirst, to develop assets and consistent promotional materials for the event. The look is bright and playful, since the Bash is a celebration of the local economy.
SyracuseFirst has traditionally put up a landing page with information about the event’s time and location, with some photographs from the previous year’s Bash. Since the focus of the event is showcasing all of the participating locally-owned businesses, we set up an easy to view grid of all vendor logos and descriptions on the front page.Launch site
